Job Description:

Required Core Technical Skills

Analog Circuit Design
- Differential amplifiers, op-amps, filters.
- Strong foundation in analog electronics for ruggedized systems.
Digital Circuit Design
- Logic gates, timers, digital components.
- Integration with sensors and control systems.
Power Supply & Conversion
- Design of regulated power circuits.
- Knowledge of conversion techniques for ordnance applications.
Simulation Tools
- SPICE for circuit simulation.
- MATLAB/Simulink for system-level modeling and tolerance analysis.
Design Software
- Altium Designer.
- PADS (PCB design).
Circuit Analysis & Best Practices
- EMI/ESD protection techniques.
- Module-level design and compliance testing.
Testing & Troubleshooting
- Creating and executing test plans.
- Using oscilloscopes, function generators, and lab equipment.
- Failure investigation with structured methods.

Project & Documentation Skills

Design Reviews
- Preparing technical materials for review boards.
- Presenting structured findings.
Engineering Change Orders
- Generating and managing ECOs.
- Documenting design modifications.
Root Cause Analysis

Electronic Safety & Arming Devices (ESADs).
Extreme Environmental Design for energetic materials.
Security Clearance eligibility (Secret clearance).

Documentation → Producing detailed reports and structured technical documents.

In summary, the role demands strong electrical engineering fundamentals (analog, digital, power), proficiency in simulation/design tools (SPICE, MATLAB, Altium, PADS), and hands-on testing/troubleshooting skills. Preferred candidates also bring ordnance-specific experience (ESADs, extreme environments) and eligibility for Secret clearance.
