Summary

Razor is seeking a skilled FPGA Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced digital hardware solutions supporting defense, aerospace, or secure communications systems. This role involves full lifecycle FPGA development, from architecture and design through verification and integration, in a classified environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop FPGA-based systems using HDL (VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog)
  • rchitect, implement, and validate digital logic designs and subsystems
  • Perform simulation, verification, and debugging using industry tools
  • Develop and maintain testbenches and verification environments
  • Integrate FPGA designs with embedded processors and hardware systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues using lab equipment
  • Optimize designs for performance and timing closure
  • Document designs, test results, and system architecture

Required Qualifications
  • ctive Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain)
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 3-10+ years of FPGA design experience
  • Proficiency in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog
  • Experience with FPGA toolchains (Xilinx Vivado, Client Quartus)
  • Strong understanding of digital design and embedded systems

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with DSP, RF, or communications systems
  • Experience with FPGA SoCs (e.g., Xilinx Zynq)
  • Knowledge of hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, AXI)
  • Familiarity with verification methodologies (UVM, DO-254)
  • Programming experience (Python, C/C++, MATLAB)
  • Experience working in Linux environments

Work Environment
On-site or hybrid role in the Atlanta / Marietta, GA area, supporting classified defense projects.
