Summary
What you will do
- Manage and support PI Data Archive, Asset Framework, PI Vision, interfaces, connectors, and analytics.
- Configure PI tags, AF models, asset hierarchies, event frames, calculations, and dashboards.
- Ensure real-time data quality, availability, security, and system performance.
- Troubleshoot PI System, interface, connectivity, performance, and data-flow issues.
- Integrate the PI System with PLC, DCS, SCADA, MES, ERP, reporting, and cloud platforms.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable PI System solutions.
- Collaborate with global agile teams and provide technical guidance and user support.
- Maintain technical documentation, data standards, and system-support procedures.
- Enable operational improvements through analytics, digitalization, and predictive maintenance.
About you - Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System experience in Oil & Gas, manufacturing, utilities, or a similar industrial environment.
- End-to-end expertise in PI Data Archive, Asset Framework, PI Vision, PI Analytics, Event Frames, and PI client/server tools.
- Experience with PI Web API, PI Integrator, PI Adapters, interfaces, and connectors.
- Knowledge of industrial control systems and data sources, including PLC, DCS, SCADA, and data historians.
- Experience with industrial communication protocols such as OPC, OPC UA, and Modbus.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, stakeholder collaboration, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently deliver PI solutions and translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions and insights.
- Ability to work effectively with global, cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
- Experience with PI System Explorer, PI Builder, MQTT, and advanced PI administration tools.
- Knowledge of time-series data, SQL, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel.
- Scripting or development experience using Python, PowerShell, or .NET.
- Familiarity with Azure, AWS, cloud data platforms, and CI/CD practices.
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and industrial cybersecurity.
- Experience supporting Upstream Oil & Gas operations.
- AVEVA PI System accreditation or certification is an advantage
