Job Title : Senior BI Engineer / Dashboard Solution Designer (Google Cloud Platform)

Location :100% Remote (EST time zone)

Duration : 12-Month Contract

Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on BI & Reporting expert to design, build, and own end-to-end reporting solutions. This role focuses on designing reporting architecture, interpreting complex data models, and building high-quality dashboards — not just visualization work.

The ideal candidate is a builder and SME who can recommend the right tools, work directly with stakeholders, and deliver scalable, automated reporting solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Data Design

Design reporting structures, data models, and standardized KPIs

Interpret complex datasets and translate business needs into reporting solutions

Act as reporting SME while remaining hands-on

Data Extraction & Transformation

Develop advanced SQL queries using BigQuery

Perform data cleansing, transformation, and aggregation

Work with Google Cloud Platform services such as Cloud Storage and Dataflow

Dashboard Development

Design and build interactive dashboards using Tableau and/or Looker

Optimize dashboards for performance, usability, and scalability

Support executive, operational, and analytical reporting needs

Automation & Integration

Build and support automated data pipelines and reporting workflows

Integrate dashboards with multiple data sources

Improve efficiency through automation and scheduling

Quality & Governance

Validate data accuracy and consistency across reports

Follow data security, governance, and best-practice standards

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow)

Advanced SQL and solid data modeling skills

Proven experience building dashboards using Tableau and/or Looker

Experience with ETL tools and workflow automation

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills

Ability to design and build — not just architect

Nice to Have

Power BI experience

Python or scripting for automation

Experience in cloud analytics or large-scale reporting environments
