Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced RPG Developer with strong expertise in the WINS (Workers' Insurance Network System) application to support and enhance Policy Administration and Claims Processing systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in IBM i (AS/400) environments, RPG programming, and insurance domain applications, with a strong understanding of policy lifecycle management, claims processing workflows, system integrations, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, maintain, and support applications using RPG IV / RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and related IBM i technologies.
Work extensively on WINS Policy Administration and Claims Processing modules.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and application solutions.
Support policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, billing, and claims management processes.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Develop and maintain DB2 database objects, SQL queries, stored procedures, and batch processes.
Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver insurance system enhancements.
Participate in application modernization initiatives and system integration projects.
Create and maintain technical documentation, process flows, and deployment procedures.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT activities.
Ensure compliance with development standards, security policies, and change management processes.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in RPG development on IBM i / AS400 platforms.
Hands-on experience with WINS application, specifically in Policy Administration and Claims Processing modules.
Strong programming experience with:
- RPG III / RPG IV
- RPGLE / ILE RPG
- CLLE
- SQLRPGLE
- DB2/400
Experience with IBM i system operations and job management.
Strong knowledge of insurance business processes, including:
- Policy Administration
- Claims Processing
- Underwriting Support
- Billing & Premium Management
Experience in application support, maintenance, and enhancement projects.
