Job Description:
DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Baltimore, Maryland (Onsite)

Role Overview

Our organization is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support critical mission systems in a classified environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for the administration, security, automation, and sustainment of Linux-based infrastructure supporting modern containerized applications and enterprise services. This role will work closely with software development, cybersecurity, systems engineering, and infrastructure teams to implement secure and scalable DevSecOps solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux operating systems.
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters and similar containerized application environments.
  • Support and enhance CI/CD pipeline capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain automation solutions using tools such as Ansible and other scripting languages.
  • Implement and maintain Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) on Linux systems.
  • Manage Linux systems operating within enterprise WAN environments.
  • Configure and maintain Linux integration within Windows Active Directory environments.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain server hardware and associated infrastructure components.


Clearance: Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance as a condition of employment.
Required Qualifications

Candidates must have experience with the following:
  • Managing Kubernetes or similar containerized environments.
  • Automation tools and scripting, including Ansible.
  • Supporting CI/CD pipelines.
  • Administering Linux operating systems in enterprise server environments.
  • Installing, configuring, and managing Linux servers.
  • Managing Linux systems across WAN-connected environments.
  • Implementing and maintaining STIG compliance on Linux systems.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware in a networked environment.
  • Managing Linux authentication and connectivity within Windows Active Directory environments.
Education & Experience

This position may be filled at either the Band 4 or Band 5 level based on the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, and business needs.

Band 4 Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 12+ years of relevant experience; or
  • Associate's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience; or
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; or
  • Master's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience.

Band 5 Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree and 14+ years of relevant experience; or
  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience; or
  • Master's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.

Compensation & Benefits

This position may be filled at either the Band 4 or Band 5 level.
  • Band 4: $70.00/hr - $95.00/hr
  • Band 5: $80.00/hr - $110.00/hr
