Job DetailsWe are seeking an HVAC Design Engineer / Designer with strong AutoCAD experience and a background in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Design, or MEP Engineering. The ideal candidate has experience working on Commercial or Industrial projects and understands the full engineering and design process from initial concept through final construction documents.
This role involves developing HVAC Engineering solutions, presenting designs to Senior Project Managers for review, and completing detailed design packages following approval. Candidates should be comfortable managing their design responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle while collaborating with engineering and construction teams.
Must Have:
- Hands-On AutoCAD Experience
- HVAC Design or Mechanical Engineering Experience
- Commercial or Industrial HVAC Project Experience
- Background in MEP Engineering, Mechanical Design, or Construction
- Ability to Develop Engineering Concepts and Complete Design Packages
- Experience with Construction Drawings and Technical Specifications
- Strong Project Coordination and Communication Skills
- Ability to Meet the Required Hybrid Office Schedule
Nice to Have:
- Revit Experience
- HVAC Heating and Cooling Load Calculations
- HVAC Equipment Selection and Product Specifications
- Ductwork Design and Mechanical System Layout
- California Title 24 Energy Calculations
- Knowledge of California Mechanical and Building Codes
- Experience with Design-Build or Plan and Spec Projects
- Experience Coordinating with Architects and Other Engineering Disciplines
