Job Summary: We are seeking a Workday Payroll Integration Lead to manage and lead the end-to-end integration of payroll processes within Workday. This role will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and maintaining complex payroll integrations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Workday integrations (including Studio, EIB, Core Connectors), as well as hands-on experience with U.S. or global payroll systems. The Opportunity and Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and deployment of Workday payroll integrations with third-party payroll vendors and internal systems. Serve as the technical subject matter expert for Workday Payroll and integrations. Collaborate with Payroll, HR, Finance, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. Develop and maintain integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs). Ensure integrations are compliant with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements. Support payroll configuration, testing, and cutover activities during new implementations or updates. Lead troubleshooting and resolution of payroll integration issues in production environments. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior integration developers and analysts. Document integration designs, configurations, and standard operating procedures. Monitor Workday s semi-annual releases and assess the impact on payroll integrations. What you need: Qualifications: Required: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HRIS, or related field. 5+ years of Workday HCM experience with at least 3+ years focused on Workday Payroll Integrations & Functional Experience. Strong hands-on experience with Workday Studio, Core Connectors (especially PECI/PICOF), EIB, XSLT, and Workday Web Services (WSDL, SOAP, REST). Experience with U.S. and/or global payroll vendors (e.g., ADP, Ceridian, SAP, CloudPay). Deep understanding of payroll processing, compliance, and taxation. Experience working on full life-cycle Workday implementation(s) or large enhancement projects. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
