THE WORK

The successful candidate can be based at Eglin AFB to directly support the F-35 Training System and its customers. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for providing engineering support, and liaison support to Aeronautics, the Joint Program Office Lightning Support Team, and customers of the global enterprise of F-35 training centers and training products fielded across the country and around the world.

In this role you will:

Assist with day to day operational support for the enterprise wide F 35 environment, ensuring system availability and training readiness.
Maintain accurate baselines and enforce change control processes.
Assist in reviewing mission requirements for actionable engineering solutions.
Ensure compliance with system engineering processes, the Engineering Development Life Cycle (EDLC), and DoD Information Assurance (IA) standards.
Support system retrofits and installations, including domestic (CONUS) and international (OCONUS) travel up to 25 % of the time.

This position requires a candidate who is a U.S. Citizen and holds a Secret security clearance to start. The role is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors of Science, Systems Engineering Experience
2 or more years of System engineering experience across development, production and sustainment life cycles
Troubleshooting experience with hardware or software; understanding of admin guides or operations & maintenance manuals
Experience with DevOps lifecycle management tools (Confluence, JIRA, Crucible, Gitlab)
Experience using Engineering Release and Data Management tools / Microsoft Excel / Word / PowerPoint / Project / SharePoint / Technical Writing / Access
Ability to coordinate with customers to identify, record, and resolve, and identify root cause of issues/questions, and identify root cause (with knowledge share, workarounds, break-fixes)

Desired skills

F-35 Training Program Experience with Training System Products, Training Curriculum, and variety of fielded system configurations, and as technology is upgraded
Familiarity with change & configuration management processes and tools used by the F-35 Training organization
Familiarity with Classified Systems and Data processes
Experience creating metrics and producing reports for stakeholders to formulate training/knowledge share with all end users

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $84,300 - $146,165. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
