JOB DESCRIPTION
We are hiring Cable Technicians in Dubuque, IA. Technicians will be dedicated to supporting the buildout of telecom and network systems. Technicians will also conduct cable placement and cable pulling of communication lines. Overall, technicians will be completing device and final connections, so previous low voltage/electrical experience is nice to have.
DUTIES

• Install hardware, including fiber optics and electronic devices.
• Data, voice, video, and fiber optic cable placement.
• Spot lifts and ensure safety.
• Place and pull cable to include data, AV, security and more.
• Work with CAT6 and Security cabling.
• Crimp and terminate connectors and door services.
• Wire termination, data, voice, video and fiber optic cables.
• Multi-conductor copper and fiber optic splicing.
• Data, voice and video hardware installation.
• Provide proper care and maintenance and customer owned equipment.
• Full compliance and customer's safety programs.
• Maintains a clean working environment.
• Operation of power tools, drills, saws, vehicles, and man lifts.
• Operation of cable testing equipment for data and fiber optic cables.

ADDITIONAL

• Construction background is nice to have.
• Knowledge/exposure to cable pulling/placement.
• Requires both a drug and background check.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Dubuque, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
