What You\'ll Be Doing

  • Design, maintain, and improve plant electrical systems and components.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and contractors to support safe and efficient plant performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner to reduce downtime.
  • Provide technical support and training to maintenance staff.

What Are We Looking For

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing, cement, mining, aggregates, metals, power generation, chemical processing, or other heavy industrial environment. Relevant internships, co-ops, and Engineer-in-Training (EIT) experience may be considered toward this requirement for exceptional candidates.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical systems including power distribution, motor controls, transformers, switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), instrumentation, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical, controls, instrumentation, or process-related issues while supporting plant reliability and operational performance.
  • Ability to work effectively with operations, maintenance, contractors, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability, support capital projects, and maintain safe plant operations.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize work and deliver practical solutions in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Willingness to work in a heavy industrial cement manufacturing environment, including field exposure, production areas, and occasional support outside normal business hours as operational needs require.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and operational reliability.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in both office and heavy manufacturing environments, including exposure to electrical equipment, motor control centers (MCCs), power distribution systems, and varying outdoor weather conditions.
  • Regular exposure to production areas may include moving equipment, elevated work areas, dust, noise, heat, cold, and other outdoor weather conditions.
  • Personal protective equipment must be worn as required.
  • The role may require climbing stairs and ladders, walking over uneven surfaces, and responding to occasional operational needs outside standard business hours.
  • Travel to other company locations, project sites, or vendor facilities may be required.
