Job Description:

The Quality Engineer supports manufacturing and engineering teams in maintaining product and process quality while meeting customer, regulatory, and industry requirements. This role will also support the implementation of AS9145 at the site and drive quality improvement initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Support quality activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Customers.
• Lead or support RCCA, NCR, corrective actions, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Apply APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and MSA to product and process development.
• Analyze quality and production data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support FAI, process/product changes, qualification activities, and reliability testing.
• Review quality documentation, deviations, and engineering/manufacturing changes.
• Support internal, customer, aerospace, and regulatory audits.
• Identify quality risks and work with cross-functional teams to implement effective corrective actions.
• Help establish and improve quality processes associated with AS9145 implementation.
• Apply statistical and process-control methods as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering experience in aerospace, automotive, or a comparable manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with APQP and PPAP required.
• Working knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and MSA required.
• Experience with GD&T required.
• Experience with AS9145 or AS9100 preferred.
• Knowledge of SPC and process capability tools preferred.
• Experience with audits, RCCA, NCRs, FAI, and corrective action processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• ASQ quality certifications such as CQE, CQA, or CQM are a plus.
• Aerospace engine or defense manufacturing experience is a plus.
