• Operate commercial and proprietary mechanical testing equipment to perform structural and functional evaluations
• Conduct tensile, compression, and torsional testing to support engineering studies
• Communicate with clients to clarify test requirements and ensure accurate results and customer satisfaction
• Perform testing, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting using advanced analytical techniques
• Apply understanding of engineering concepts such as mechanisms, fixtures, and tooling to support test development
• Communicate findings clearly to engineers and team members through written and verbal methods
• Collaborate with team members to summarize and document test outcomes using GDP standards
• Support study planning, experimental execution, and data analysis
• Perform specialized testing including leak pressure, environmental conditioning, axial load frame testing, torsional testing, force‑to‑fire carts, laser extensometers, high‑speed video, and custom fixtures
• Assist lab lead with training new technicians on safe operation of mechanical test equipment
• Perform testing involving porcine animal tissue when required, following safety and regulatory guidelines
• Perform additional duties as assigned
