Location: Atlanta, GA – Onsite
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Must be local to Atlanta and available onsite as needed
JOB SUMMARY:
The State of Georgia – DOAS is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead stabilization and resolution of complex production issues involving Workday benefits, payroll, retirement contributions, eligibility, integrations, and third-party benefit providers.
The PM will coordinate functional, technical, payroll, finance, and vendor teams while managing issue resolution, testing, dependencies, releases, and executive reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and prioritize benefits and payroll-related production issues through resolution.
- Lead cross-functional teams and establish owners, action items, dependencies, and timelines.
- Coordinate investigations involving Workday configuration, data, integrations, vendor systems, and business processes.
- Develop and maintain stabilization schedules and track risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Coordinate test planning, regression testing, vendor validation, and business acceptance.
- Manage change control and production release readiness.
- Ensure corrected integrations reconcile with Workday payroll and benefits results.
- Provide status updates and executive reporting on risks, issue aging, testing, and resolution progress.
MANDATORY SKILLS:
- 3+ years of recent large-scale project management experience.
- 6+ years of project management experience supporting business processes.
- 2+ years of ERP/HCM implementation experience.
- Strong experience with Workday Benefits, Payroll, Integrations, and Data Exchanges.
- Experience with issue triage, root-cause analysis, risk and dependency management.
- Experience with testing, regression testing, vendor validation, and business acceptance.
- Knowledge of SDLC and structured development methodologies.
- Experience with Jira, MS Project, and/or Asana.
- Strong stakeholder, vendor, and executive communication skills.
Preferred Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- PMP or CAPM certification, or eligibility for PMP certification.
- Prior ERP/HCM implementation experience.
- Government or public-sector project management experience.
- 6+ years of progressive project management experience.
