Summary

Analyst, PDC Ops - Investment (Capital Projects & Procurement)


Location: Fountain Valley, CA


Pay: $35-$44/hr.

We are seeking an Analyst, PDC Ops - Investment to support capital planning, procurement, budgeting, and project execution across a distribution network. This role focuses on driving cost-effective investment decisions, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring capital projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities


  • Support development and execution of capital investment proposals for PDC operations

  • Perform RFQ analysis, supplier pricing reviews, and contract/price negotiations

  • Manage budget tracking, cost controls, and invoice processing for capital projects

  • Assist in annual capital planning, forecasting, and financial reporting activities

  • Monitor supplier performance and support vendor selection and competitive bidding

  • Ensure accurate alignment of project approvals, budgets, and execution milestones

  • Support project management activities including timelines, risk tracking, and deliverables

  • Coordinate cradle-to-grave capital projects, including facility upgrades and equipment purchases

  • Track procurement activities to ensure on-time delivery of materials for project launches

  • Support invoice validation, PO management, and coordination with finance teams

  • Assist in maintaining GL accuracy and supporting AP and financial reporting processes

  • Provide support for executive-level capital investment presentations and project decks

  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives within purchasing and capital systems


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field

  • 4-6 years of experience in automotive, manufacturing, or supply chain environments

  • Experience with supplier management, RFQs, and contract negotiations

  • Background in project management and capital investment planning

  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills


Preferred Experience


  • Experience in asset management, facilities management, or warehouse operations

  • Familiarity with accounts payable and capital expenditure processes

  • Experience supporting large-scale procurement or capital project environments


Skills & Competencies


  • Strong financial and budget management capability

  • Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and reporting abilities

  • Ability to work independently and adapt to shifting priorities


Work Schedule & Travel


  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

  • Up to 20% travel required (occasional overnight)
