Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to oversee quality assurance initiatives, drive test automation efforts, and coordinate testing activities across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Eggplant automation, functional testing, stakeholder communication, and project coordination, along with experience in the GIS and Utilities domain.

This is a hybrid position based in Richardson, Texas.

Key Responsibilities

Lead quality assurance activities for enterprise applications throughout the software development lifecycle.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions using Eggplant.
Execute comprehensive functional testing to ensure application quality and business requirements are met.
Coordinate testing efforts across project teams and serve as a key point of contact for client communications.
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to identify defects and validate solutions.
Manage test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting using tools such as QMetry and JIRA.
Monitor project progress, communicate testing status, and ensure timely delivery of quality releases.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending best practices in test automation and quality engineering.

Required Qualifications

8 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or Test Automation.
Hands-on experience with Eggplant-based automation testing.
Strong background in functional testing across enterprise applications.
Proven experience in project coordination and client-facing communication.
Experience working with QMetry and JIRA for test management and defect tracking.
Domain knowledge in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Utilities is required.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with additional automation testing frameworks and tools beyond Eggplant.
Ability to lead testing initiatives independently while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
Experience working in Agile or hybrid software development environments.

Key Responsibilities for the Selected Consultant

Lead and execute Eggplant-based automation testing initiatives.
Drive comprehensive functional testing efforts to ensure product quality.
Coordinate project activities, interact with clients and stakeholders, and provide clear communication on testing progress and outcomes.
