Job Summary
The Director of IT Applications & IFS ERP provides strategic and operational leadership across enterprise technology platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives, growth, and operational needs. This role leads internal and offshore teams and oversees key systems including IFS ERP, Power BI, Salesforce, mobile applications, and integration architecture.
 
Reporting to the CIO, the Director partners closely with business stakeholders to define and execute a multi-year IT strategy focused on modernization, scalability, security, and measurable business value. This position is based in Los Angeles, CA, with an in-office presence required 4–5 days per week and occasional travel.
 
Experience
  • 12+ years of experience in IT and enterprise systems
  • 7+ years managing IFS Cloud environments, preferably in field service or manufacturing organizations
  • Proven leadership experience overseeing enterprise applications, platforms, and cross-functional initiatives
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise technology modernization efforts (ERP, data platforms, analytics, cloud, infrastructure)
  • Experience implementing at least one full IFS ERP Cloud deployment across multiple modules
  • Background leading ERP, CRM, and financial systems implementations or migrations
  • Experience in post-M&A technology integrations
  • Experience working in multi-unit, multi-brand, or portfolio-based organizations
  • Preferred background in consulting and corporate IT environments
  • Industry experience in landscaping, field services, construction, or multi-unit retail/distribution environments preferred
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required
  • Master’s degree or advanced education preferred
Specialized Skills
  • Deep expertise in IFS Cloud, including Aurena, Business Reporter, and mobile applications
  • Strong knowledge of PL/SQL, data migration, custom configurations, and reporting tools
  • Experience with Power BI, React Native, Python, Salesforce, ADP, Dayforce, Tibco, and Bid2Win
  • Familiarity with AI tools and automation platforms that extend ERP capabilities
  • Knowledge of change management and process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Strong vendor management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to influence in a matrixed environment without direct authority
  • Experience with IT governance, budgeting, and headcount planning

  • 10 – 20% Travel
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage enterprise applications, including IFS ERP, Power BI, mobile platforms, and integration solutions
  • Oversee development, support, enhancements, and system integrations across business functions
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and HR to support system requirements, testing, and deployments
  • Drive enterprise-wide technology and process transformation initiatives
  • Lead integration of newly acquired companies, from assessment through go-live
  • Establish SOPs, playbooks, and reporting frameworks to ensure operational consistency across locations
  • Collaborate with business leadership and CIO on long-term technology strategy
  • Ensure solutions follow industry best practices and enable strong user adoption
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and development for IT team members
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure adherence to vendor management standards
  • Serve as a point of contact for audits and regulatory matters related to IT systems
  • Enhance end-user effectiveness through training, adoption strategies, and support models
  • Maintain deep expertise in IFS ERP functionality and emerging best practices
  • Participate in IT governance, budgeting, and resource planning

Pay Range: $165,000 - $190,000 + bonus
