Description Java Developer IIIBased in Alpharetta, GA12 month contract - Potential ExtensionsResponsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices handling audio, video, and image uploads
- Integrate backend services with Azure OpenAI and Azure Speech for transcription, text-to-speech, and intelligent data extraction
- Implement secure cloud-based storage and retrieval using Azure Blob Storage
- Optimize system performance, latency, and reliability for both real-time and batch AI workflows
- Collaborate with frontend teams on media capture, playback APIs, and workflows
- Partner with cloud, security, and governance teams to ensure compliance, security, and data protection
- Participate in end-to-end solution ownership from design through deployment and support
Requirements Required- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of Java and Spring Boot backend development
- 5+ years of React frontend development
- Experience with Node.js and building RESTful APIs
- Strong cloud experience (Azure preferred; AWS acceptable)
- Hands-on experience with Azure services, including storage and containerized solutions
- Practical integration experience with AI/ML or LLM services (OpenAI / Azure OpenAI, speech, vision)
- Strong understanding of secure API design and access control
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and Git-based source control
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Analytical, methodical problem-solver with strong attention to detail
Nice to Have- Experience working with media files (audio, video, images)
- Familiarity with WebSockets or streaming audio
- Exposure to Terraform or infrastructure-as-code tools
- Experience in regulated, compliance-heavy, or high-security environments
