What We Do
The Senior Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving security controls that protect enterprise networks, cloud environments, and critical services. This role partners closely with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to ensure security is thoughtfully integrated into platform and architecture decisions while supporting business objectives.
This position emphasizes hands-on engineering, architecture, and technical leadership, contributing to scalable and resilient security solutions across the organization.

Salary Range: $112,400.00 - $149,800.00
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.

What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain security architectures for on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
- Engineer and support network and edge security controls that protect internal systems and externally facing services.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to embed security into system designs and delivery workflows.
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and risk assessments for new and existing systems.
- Develop and enhance security configurations, standards, and patterns to improve consistency, scalability, and efficiency.
- Serve as a senior technical resource, providing guidance, design feedback, and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve operational efficiency, and reduce technical debt.
- Evaluate, test, and contribute to the adoption of new security technologies and capabilities.
- Advise internal partners on security requirements, best practices, and architectural tradeoffs.
- Support incident response, risk mitigation, and remediation efforts from a technical and engineering perspective as needed.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation, diagrams, and standards related to security architecture and operations.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and evolving technologies, applying that knowledge to improve security posture.
What You'll Bring
- Strong experience in security engineering roles with a focus on network, infrastructure, and/or cloud security.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and how security controls integrate into complex environments.
- Experience designing and implementing security controls in cloud and hybrid environments.
- Comfort working across teams to influence architecture and technical decisions.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives while balancing strategic and hands-on work.
- Experience evaluating tools and technologies to meet security and business requirements.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and proactive in identifying and solving problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in security, network, or infrastructure engineering roles.
- Experience working in enterprise or large-scale environments.
- Relevant security or networking certifications
