Job Duties:

Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and semiconductor intellectual property (IP) employing knowledge of electronic theory and materials properties.
Validate, improve, and regress Cadence's state of the art Certus, Tempus signoff, and ECO solution products.
Work closely with professionals in Research and Development (R&D) and senior product engineers to define the product specifications and with product release teams to enhance the product quality and address the unique and complex needs of Certus and Tempus customers and market.
Develop product flows to improve quality and performance.
Define test methodologies and automate various processes to make the overall system efficient.
Transmit historical knowledge of the product to other engineers and new staff.
Resolve specific use cases for team members and ensure that project workflow aligns with customer needs.
Elaborate and deliver customized training to customers on Cadence solutions, new features and usage models.
Some telecommuting permitted.
Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States and internationally.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Providing customer support on Tempus ECO and Certus for North American design houses
Specifying numerous features in Tempus ECO and Certus for local R&D teams to implement
Utilizing digital design tools' qualifications and regressions, including scripting skills to collect key metrics from the tool
Utilizing knowledge of N7, N5, and N3 technology nodes for timing and physical related topics to ensure the tool is performing the right design change
Writing complex script to analyze digital design and create prototype of future features
Presenting outcome of an engagement or evaluation to a customer to help business negotiations
Tuning a flow script to achieve optimal timing and power metrics on a design
Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States and internationally.

The annual salary range for California is $216,091 to $253,500. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
