QA Lead

We are looking for a results-driven and ownership-oriented QA Lead who can independently own the entire QA process from planning to delivery. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can push projects forward, hold teams accountable, and balance deep hands-on expertise in both automation and manual testing with effective project planning and tracking.

Key Responsibilities

Own and drive the end-to-end QA process across web, mobile, and API-based software projects. Take full ownership of QA project timelines, milestones, and deliverables — proactively pushing forward and removing blockers. Define and implement testing strategies, test plans, and quality standards across all project phases. Plan, assign, and track team tasks and workloads to ensure timely and efficient execution. Lead, mentor, and grow a team of QA engineers while fostering a culture of quality and accountability. Drive daily standups, sprint planning, and QA status reporting to keep stakeholders informed. Design and execute automation scripts and frameworks alongside hands-on manual testing efforts. Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and UAT testing throughout the SDLC. Conduct root cause analysis on defects and drive resolution across teams. Maintain test documentation and defect tracking using JIRA or HP ALM. Collaborate closely with development, product, and business stakeholders to ensure clear requirements and quality standards. Support CI/CD pipelines to integrate quality throughout the delivery process.

Required Skills & Experience

7–10 years of QA experience with at least 3 years in a QA Lead or management role. Demonstrated ability to own and manage QA projects end-to-end with minimal supervision — pushing forward, planning effectively, and tracking team progress. Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring QA teams across multiple projects. Hands-on expertise in both QA automation and manual testing with a proven track record of delivering quality at scale. Strong hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber. Solid manual testing expertise across functional, regression, and exploratory testing. Strong SQL skills for database validation and backend verification. Experience with API testing (REST/SOAP) using Postman or similar tools. Proficiency in scripting with Python, JavaScript, or Bash. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps. Experience with Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

Healthcare industry background with understanding of HIPAA compliance, HL7, and FHIR standards.  Knowledge of performance testing tools such as LoadRunner. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
