Job Description-:
Client is hiring a Senior Linux Platform Security Engineer to help accelerate hardening, patching, and securing Linux platform components that support application environments and supporting infrastructure.
The work will primarily target RedHat platform security, service hardening, TLS remediation, and patch automation across multiple environments. This is a high-impact operational role responsible for eliminating a concentration of Tier-1 infrastructure vulnerabilities currently present in the system backlog.
Technical Responsibilities
- RedHat / RHEL platform security and maintenance
- Linux system patching and automation
- TLS / SSL configuration remediation
- NGINX configuration hardening
- Tomcat runtime service security
- DNS and SFTP configuration security
- Linux service hardening and baseline configuration
- Infrastructure vulnerability remediation
- Security configuration standardization
Required Experience
- 7+ years Linux platform engineering experience
- Deep experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Experience securing NGINX and Tomcat environments
- Strong understanding of TLS / SSL configuration and cipher management
- Experience hardening Linux production systems
- Experience with infrastructure patching automation
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting large enterprise application platforms
- Experience remediating CVEs at scale
- Familiarity with vulnerability management workflows
- Exposure to hybrid infrastructure environments
