Summary

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MES Infrastructure and Platform Administrator to join our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) team. As the MES Infrastructure and Platform Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of our Emerson Syncade MES platform and infrastructure. You will execute platform and infrastructure upgrade projects, develop Quality Review Manager (QRM), labels, and reports, and provide training to new MES resources and end users. Additionally, you will be part of a rotational on-call support team for manufacturing operations.
Lead the MES team in the design, implementation, and maintenance of MES solutions & Recipe Authoring. Position will be part of business team that develops recipes and converts batch records into systematic controls and processes. Team also provides testing, training and support for all business operations.
Must be able to work collaboratively at all levels of the organization and work well with cross-functional teams.
The Specialist, Process & Technology is responsible for the development, testing, and support of the site Manufacturing systems (e.g. ERP & MES) to maintain a compliant, effective, and efficient operation that meets or exceeds site goals and objectives.

MES Syncade Roles & Responsibilities:
• Administer and maintain the Emerson Syncade MES platform and infrastructure, including user access management, system configurations, and security settings.
• Execute Emerson Syncade MES platform and infrastructure upgrade projects, ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
• Develop a deep understanding of the Emerson Syncade MES technology platform to support investigations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Execute Quality Review Manager (QRM), labels, and reports development projects within the Emerson Syncade MES system.
• Create and maintain the MES Platform Administration framework, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Deliver training on the Emerson Syncade MES platform to new MES resources and end users, ensuring their proficiency in utilizing the system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement system enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines, during system changes and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Emerson Syncade MES system functionality and data integrity, working closely with IT and vendor support teams.
• Provide rotational on-call support for manufacturing operations, addressing urgent system issues and ensuring minimal disruption to production.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in MES systems, providing recommendations for system optimization and process improvements.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and initiatives to drive continuous improvement and align MES system capabilities with business requirements.
• Knowledge of industry standard integration protocols and programming applications such as OPC, ODBC, SQL, and Web API.
• SQL Server Administration and SQL programming.

RA Roles & Responsibilities:
Author Syncade MES recipes through recipe authoring and resource editor.
• Translate business requirements into a robust eBR design which is compliant, efficient, and effective.
• Coordinate the user acceptance testing of MES recipes with peers and internal customers to ensure business requirements are achieved.
• Provide direct internal customer support to manufacturing, site planning, inventory control, quality assurance, quality control, global master data management, and IT.
• Develop and provide operational and technical training.
• Provide periodic on-call support to internal customers for emergency system issues.
• Troubleshoot routine and complex problems to support internal customers.
• Assist in designing, testing, and maintaining the electronic batch record (EBR) MES Recipes and related Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system master data, including, but not limited to, items, specifications, lookups, list of values, recipes, routings, and formulas.
• Collaborate among peers and internal customers to determine system business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into a robust data design and configuration which is compliant, efficient, and effective.
• Coordinate, execute, and support User Acceptance Testing of ERP changes and MES Recipe releases with peers and internal customers to ensure business requirements are achieved.
• Maintain the recipe release process to meet manufacturing requirements and to maintain compliant, efficient, and reliable electronic batch records and supporting data.
• Develop and execute change controls and master data change requests for master data and MES Recipe configuration changes.
• Develop system technical documentation, including but not limited to, functional specifications and UAT test scripts.
• Provide department representation on site projects.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
• Provide direct internal customer ERP and MES support to manufacturing, site planning, materials management, warehouse, quality assurance, quality control, global master data management, and IT.
• Develop and provide technical training for MES and ERP users.
• Maintain an understanding of the site business processes.
• Provide periodic on-call support to internal customers for emergent system issues.
• Troubleshoot routine and complex problems to support internal customers.
