Position: Incident Commander

Location: Remote

Duration: Long-Term contract

 

Job Description:

Require the following credentials:

  • Mature, Ability to manage and drive MIBs, Strong communication, ability to communicate with the Market facing technology organization.
  • Healthcare experience is must and especially of Hospital management systems and workflows, but Clinical background or experience not needed.
  • Ability to triage the situation and detect when escalations are required.
  • Knowledge of the full Tech stack from Apps through to Infra.
  • ITSM knowledge and experience.
  • Incident Commander (IC) will have expanded interaction with business users and cross functional teams where IMs most commonly are restricted to IT teams only and typically within a single IT team or organization.
  • IC has to interact with IT teams of Deloitte, HCL and other vendors in Customer space along with the business facing stakeholders and in some cases end users.
  • This requires broader and deeper experience of the hospital environment, more maturity and experience in communicating across stakeholders. 
  • IC is expected to analyze incidents across the technology stack - Applications and Infrastructure and also be aware of where the problem is, drive resolution between different teams owning these areas.
  • Typically, Incident Managers (IM) usually triage within one type of IT team - Apps or Infra.  
  • EHR experience and hospital management workflow knowledge is a definite plus although not a mandatory requirement, typically ICs would come with at least some level of exposure to EHRs if they have worked in hospital settings.
  • IMs need not have EHR experience, they specialize in ITIL function of Incident management.
  • Executive / Stakeholder reporting and management - ICs must be capable of reporting the status for different types of stakeholders and manage their expectations, IMs typically follow set patterns or templates or processes for sharing updates. 

 

Hours of Operation: Rotational 24*7 shift, expected to work late evening shifts and night shift.
