Summary

Lineage is transforming the global cold chain through

cutting-edge technology, deep logistics expertise, and a

clear purpose: to eliminate waste and help feed the world.

As the company continues to expand its reach and evolve

its operating model, Lineage is investing heavily in the

development and maturation of its internal technology

platforms to drive performance, reliability, and value at

scale.

This role sits at the heart of that ambition. As Vice President

of Software Engineering, you will have accountability for

Lineage's two most critical software platforms - LinOS and

Connect - leading a global engineering team of over 200

people and overseeing significant multi-million-dollar

product development budgets. Your remit will span from

hands-on architecture and incident response through to

roadmap planning, budget strategy, and senior stakeholder

engagement.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of supply

chain technology at true scale. The successful candidate will

bring a balance of technical credibility, delivery discipline,

and business fluency - helping Lineage move from an

engineering organisation with strong intent to one with

consistent, world-class execution.

This role requires a seasoned engineering leader with the technical depth, commercial acumen, and leadership maturity to operate at pace and scale within a fast-evolving global technology organisation. The successful candidate will bring clarity, discipline and delivery excellence to Lineage's most business-critical software products, while strengthening the engineering culture and fostering trust across Product, Technology, and Executive teams.

They will bring:

Extensive experience leading multi-product engineering organisations at scale, ideally within logistics technology, ecommerce, transport tech or other product-led environments. Proven responsibility for teams exceeding 100

Engineers and multi-million-dollar development budgets is essential.

A strong grasp of modern engineering practices, frameworks and tooling, with fluency in metrics-driven delivery and

frameworks such as Agile and DORA. Able to improve speed, stability, quality and collaboration across distributed

teams.

Operational resilience and calm under pressure, with a proven ability to manage real-time incident response and

lead engineering organisations through complex technical and organisational challenges.

An ability to drive maturity across the software development lifecycle, bringing predictability, structure and rigour to

product delivery, without stifling innovation or speed.

Exceptional leadership presence, combining confidence with humility. Able to manage "positive friction" with peers in

Product and Business, and capable of challenging constructively while remaining solutions-oriented.

Hands-on technical credibility, able to influence architectural and tooling decisions, mentor senior engineers, and

raise the technical bar across the organisation.

Strong people leadership and succession mindset, capable of coaching Senior Directors and building succession

depth for future growth. Comfortable supporting both high-potential individuals and those resistant to change.

Cross-cultural effectiveness and global mindset, able to unify teams and adapt leadership style to suit varying

regional dynamics and organisational maturity.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical issues into

business terms, manage executive expectations, and engage credibly with a wide range of internal and external

stakeholders.

A scale-up mindset, with a clear understanding of how to transition from high-growth or start-up environments into

scalable, enterprise-grade delivery models.

Personal resilience and emotional intelligence, comfortable operating in ambiguity, managing trade-offs, and making

fast, informed decisions with limited precedent.

This is a rare opportunity to lead software engineering at the very heart of Lineage's global digital transformation. The

successful candidate will shape the future of two mission-critical platforms, influence how technology supports the

global food supply chain, and play a pivotal role in the continued evolution of one of the most ambitious tech functions

in the logistics sector today.
