Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) was created with the purpose of providing integrated enterprise IT support to Federal customers both CONUS and OCONUS. CARS employs Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with decades of experience working in the Federal marketplace.

Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) is seeking an Senior Systems Engineer who will lead the standup, supervision, and daily operational execution of a dedicated 2-FTE Operations Team supporting the PGG Special Access Program / Controlled Access Program (SAP/CAP) IT footprint. This role eliminates mission partner hesitancy and prevents mission degradation by delivering continuous fault/performance monitoring, rapid incident remediation, root cause analysis (RCA), and architecture integration across UNIX/Windows infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor operations personnel supporting a SAP/CAP IT environment, establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs), shift coverage, and escalation workflows.
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact across customer, contract, and vendor meetings.
  • Execute continuous fault/performance monitoring and proactive event management across the customer footprint using Enterprise Management (EM) standard tools to ensure high availability during training exercises and live missions.
  • Lead rapid incident triage, track and report system outages/Discrepancy Reports (DRs), and author post-incident Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and After-Action Reports (AARs).
  • Maintain, monitor, and optimize customer network and infrastructure systems, including routers, switches, bridges, Storage Area Networks (SAN), and security appliances across UNIX and Windows environments.
  • Architect, coordinate, and implement technical integrations between EM monitoring tools, incident ticketing platforms, and automated email alerting pipelines.
  • Provide technical analysis and coordinate engineering recommendations to adapt network and system architecture for enhanced EM integration and overall performance.
  • Manage hardware and software asset baselines while collaborating with cybersecurity and engineering teams to preserve configuration integrity.
  • Perform other mission-related operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years relevant experience OR
  • Associates degree and 10+ years relevant experience OR
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with 8+ years relevant experience
  • Operational experience with ServiceNow
  • Experience in the Intelligence Community
  • DoD 8140 (formerly 8570.01-M), IAT Level I
  • Security+ CE (within 6 months)
  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree
  • Active Security + CE certification

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to obtain CI Poly Clearance
  • Ability to help support Special Projects as identified by Government Customer.
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it
