Senior Network Architect designs, deploys, and maintains scalable IP/Ethernet network infrastructure, focusing on enterprise customer solutions and high-capacity backbone expansions. They develop technical standards, manage Fortigate security platforms, and collaborate with internal teams on optical technologies (ROADM) to ensure reliable, high-performance connectivity.
Key Responsibilities Network Strategy & Design: Lead planning, design, and deployment of network architecture, including POP builds, backbone capacity planning, and new technology implementation.
Engineering & Optimization: Identify and remediate network congestion, designing scalable solutions and creating technical methods that are repeatable.
Security & Maintenance: Manage and upgrade platform security, specifically monitoring and patching vulnerabilities (CVEs) on platforms like Fortigate.
Technical Documentation: Maintain best-practice documentation for policies, procedures, and network designs.
Support & Collaboration: Act as a technical subject matter expert for Engineering and Operations, assisting with high-level troubleshooting and vendor management.
Network Expertise: Proficient in IP/Ethernet network design, optical systems, and signal flow, including Ciena, Cisco, or Infinera equipment.
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Fortigate hardware models (chassis units) and networking standards.
Communication: Proven ability to communicate with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers for project success.
Analytical Thinking: Skilled in interpreting data to troubleshoot, optimize, and improve network reliability.
Requires in-depth knowledge of fiber networks and data center connectivity
