Title: 7-858-0712A Public Safety Planner (Specialist 1)
Type: 12 month contract
Location: Hybrid at client Public Safety / PSEM division (details during interview)
Schedule: Normal business hours, Monday Friday, 35 hours per week (mandatory unpaid meal break after 6 hours)
Overtime: Any hours beyond 35/week must be requested in the timekeeping system and preapproved by the Project Manager
Develop, maintain, and optimize comprehensive project schedules using Microsoft Project and Public Safety program processes
Coordinate resource allocation and dependencies across multiple concurrent projects and initiatives
Monitor schedule performance, identify conflicts and delays, and recommend mitigation or optimization actions
Prepare schedule reports, critical path analyses, milestones, 30day lookahead, and timeline impact assessments
Facilitate scheduling meetings and coordinate timeline dependencies between project teams
Support Project Managers with calendar management for milestones, deliverables, and stakeholder meetings
Help define project approach, scope, resource requirements, and team roles/responsibilities
Contribute to project charters, scope statements, and definition of project deliverables
Create and manage project and communication plans
Develop estimates and assumptions for schedule, effort, and cost using established models
Build, maintain, and organize master project schedules and roadmaps
Coordinate site visits, ensuring all requirements and information are aligned across stakeholders
Provide direct support to Project Managers in planning, executing, and monitoring project activities
Track deliverables, milestones, and performance metrics against established baselines
Coordinate crossfunctional team activities and facilitate communication among engineering, operations, and support teams
Assist with project risk identification, documentation, and mitigation planning
Assist in preparing project status reports, presentations, and executive briefings
Perform data analysis to support project decisionmaking and performance optimization
Develop and maintain dashboards, metrics, and KPIs within program tools
Conduct trend analysis on project schedules and performance
Create analytical reports and visualizations to communicate project insights
Identify patterns and opportunities for process improvement across projects
Support forecasting and capacity planning activities
Help establish and maintain comprehensive document management systems for project files
Ensure version control, access permissions, and retention compliance
Coordinate document review cycles, approval processes, and audit support
Maintain project repositories, templates, and standardized documentation
Support regulatory compliance through accurate documentation and recordkeeping
Manage document distribution and stakeholder communications
Create and update process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Support PMO functions including change requests, schedule updates, and standard reporting
Ensure project artifacts are stored correctly and consistently throughout the project lifecycle
Act as a focal point of contact, as directed, for project management, financial, administrative, and technical coordination topics
Bachelor s degree from an accredited college
Minimum 4 years of experience working on medium to largescale projects
At least 4 years of experience delivering Project Management services (planning, tracking, reporting, coordination)
Advanced handson experience with Microsoft Project, including complex schedules and dependencies
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with high attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with technical and nontechnical stakeholders
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
Solid understanding of project management principles and best practices
Experience with process improvement and organizational development initiatives
Document management system experience using SharePoint
Experience serving as a focal point of contact for project management, financial, administrative, and technical issues
Proficiency with MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Visio
Project Management experience including project planning and scheduling with significant project dependencies
PMP or equivalent Project Management certification
Experience managing or coordinating thirdparty service providers or vendors
Background in data analytics, business intelligence, or continuous process improvement
SharePoint development or advanced configuration experience (workflows, libraries, permissions, etc.)
Experience working with Smartsheet or similar collaborative project management tools
