Job Description

The Provider Management team is responsible for supporting the Provider Pega platform. As a Senior Pega Software Engineer, the resource will help build highly critical business processes. The role includes designing, building, delivering, and maintaining scalable products and applications while working closely with business, product, and technology teams in an agile environment. The position focuses on enabling efficient business processes and improved user experiences through technology.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key contributor to the engineering team building and supporting products and solutions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering leadership, Product Managers, Designers, Test Automation teams, and business units.
  • Participate in architectural design, system analysis, and software development activities.
  • Develop maintainable, scalable, responsive, and secure applications.
  • Own specifications, quality, deployments, monitoring, and production support.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation.
  • Ensure code quality using test-driven development and continuous delivery practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow industry best practices.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as a technical expert.

Required Qualifications / Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience designing and developing highly scalable and secure Pega applications.
  • Healthcare and/or Customer Service experience is a plus. Experience developing and deploying Pega applications on Azure or a similar cloud platform.
  • Must be a PEGA Senior Systems Architect (SSA).
  • PEGA Lead System Architect (LSA) is a strong plus.

  • Data Management & Integration
  • Decision Management
  • User Experience
  • Background Processing
  • Security & Systems Administration
  • Ability to understand business plans and translate them into IT solutions.
  • Ability to guide, train, and mentor engineers.
  • Experience integrating legacy systems with the Pega Platform.
  • Experience performing Root Cause Analysis within the Pega ecosystem.
  • Ability to integrate external systems of record with Pega.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to develop vendor relationships and promote best practices.
  • Strong analytical and process improvement skills.
  • Ability to perform quantitative cost/benefit analysis.

Required Skills (Repeated in JD)

  • 10+ years of experience designing and developing highly scalable and secure Pega applications.
  • Healthcare and/or Customer Service capability experience preferred.
  • Experience developing and deploying Pega applications on Azure or similar cloud platforms.
  • PEGA Senior Systems Architect certification required.
  • Lead System Architect certification preferred.
  • Strong expertise in Pega Case Management, Data Management & Integration, Decision Management, User Experience, Background Processing, Security & Systems Administration.

Certification Requirement

  • Must be a certified PEGA Senior Systems Architect (SSA).
  • Lead System Architect certification is highly preferred.
