Position Overview
Varmoda is seeking a Programmer / Quantitative Analyst to support federal reporting initiatives.
Current coding and reporting processes cannot be validated and must be rewritten using modern industry standards. This role will focus on rebuilding statistical reporting models, documenting business rules, and ensuring compliance with federal requirements.
This is an individual contributor role responsible for researching, developing, validating, and maintaining statistical models in R.
Key Responsibilities
  • Rewrite legacy coding processes using current industry standards
  • Research, develop, and maintain statistical reporting models in R
  • Perform model development, back testing, validation, and deployment
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Document business rules, methodologies, and revision history
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with federal reporting standards
  • Build audit trails and implement data validation processes
  • Deliver high-quality documentation and presentations
  • Collaborate with functional and technical consultants for model deployment

Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years hands-on R programming experience
  • Strong statistical background and model development expertise
  • 5+ years building and delivering robust statistical models
  • Experience in development, back testing, deployment, and UAT
  • 5+ years R Studio
  • 5+ years SQL / SQL Manager
  • 5+ years R Development / Programming
  • 5+ years experience validating statistical reporting models
  • 1+ year experience with ADABAS/Natural
  • 1+ year Agile methodology experience
  • 1+ year Power BI experience
  • Experience working in Windows 7 and Windows 10 environments
