Job Overview

Our client, a leading public-sector healthcare organization, is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to support financial management across a large-scale IT portfolio. You will serve as the primary financial resource for assigned programs, providing detailed budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and expenditure monitoring while ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze budget-to-actual performance and recommend adjustments based on expenditure trends
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports, variance analyses, and dashboards for executive leadership
  • Serve as primary financial liaison with internal and external stakeholders including federal oversight partners
  • Review vendor invoices and monitor contract expenditures across multiple funding sources
  • Support preparation and submission of federal funding documentation including Advance Planning Documents (APDs)
  • Coordinate fiscal year closeout activities including reconciliation and budget adjustments
  • Recommend improvements to financial processes, reporting practices, and internal controls

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, or related field
  • X+ years of progressive experience in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, or financial reporting
  • Strong knowledge of governmental budgeting, internal controls, and expenditure management
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (financial modeling, PivotTables, advanced formulas)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Master's degree or CPA, CGFM, or PMP certification
  • Experience with Commonwealth of Massachusetts financial or procurement processes
  • Familiarity with federal cost allocation methodologies and Medicaid claiming
  • Experience with SharePoint, Jira, or Power BI
  • Background supporting large enterprise IT organizations

Location & Work Model

Primarily remote with occasional on-site attendance at X Enterprise Drive, Quincy, MA. Accessible by public transportation. 37.5-hour work week; no overtime.
