We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Electrical Switchgear Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects in the engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical switchgear systems. This role demands a high level of technical expertise and a strong understanding of power systems, NEC codes, layout planning, schematic diagrams, and SolidWorks software. Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop electrical switchgear systems in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
2. Generate and interpret complex electrical layouts and schematic diagrams.
3. Use SolidWorks software to create detailed 3D models and designs.
4. Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) in all design and development activities.
5. Conduct performance and safety tests on switchgear systems, identify any issues, and implement effective solutions.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality assurance, to ensure the successful completion of projects.
7. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
8. Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of electrical engineering and switchgear technology.
9. Participate in project meetings and present design and development updates to stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred - not required).
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and developing electrical switchgear systems.
3. Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software.
4. Strong knowledge of power systems and National Electrical Code (NEC).
5. Proven ability to generate and interpret electrical layouts and schematic diagrams.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and present technical information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
10. Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
