Software Test Automation Engineer

Job Summary:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Java development experience
• 7+ years of professional software industry experience, ideally within Agile/Scrum-based development teams.
• Prior experience working with Point of Sale (POS) systems is desirable.
• Experience testing and validating high-volume, high-traffic eCommerce platforms and applications.
• Strong expertise in test automation frameworks and tools, including Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, and Java.
• Proven experience in API test automation using technologies such as Java Spring Boot, Rest Assured, GraphQL, and Postman.
• Working knowledge of message-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as ActiveMQ (AMQ), RabbitMQ, and Kafka.
• Required experience with source code management and version control systems, particularly Git and Stash.
• Preferred experience with Couchbase database querying and validation.
• Solid understanding of database testing, data validation, and working with various data formats; experience with SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience leveraging Splunk for log analysis, monitoring, and validation of application changes and technical enhancements.
• Familiarity with defect management and issue tracking tools, especially JIRA.
• Strong background in manual testing methodologies and test execution.
• Exposure to payment processing ecosystems, including payment gateways and payment terminal integrations, is a plus.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized application deployment, orchestration, and operational support is preferred.
