Project Summary: Industrial Network Modernization & Management
Perform discovery on each network to identify all the network assets that need replaced
Plan and design the replacement solution and create a 1 for 1 replacement network in a lab for testing. The new equipment will be configured with
Centralized management with Catalyst Center
A new deployment of Port Security
Hardened CIS baselines that align with NIST 800-82 standards
Once the new network is completed and tested successfully, we will perform the actual replacement at the plants
We will repeat that high level process for all 11 networks. I have a much more detailed project plan I can share if it would be helpful. The candidate will not be working solo, but along side our OT team.
Candidate Requirements
We are seeking an experienced network contractor to assist the modernization of an OT network across our industrial environment. This project focuses on modernizing our network management, enhancing security, and ensuring compliance with NIST 800-82 standards. Our infrastructure relies on Allen-Bradley Stratix switches running Cisco IOS, utilized in both standalone and Device Level Ring (DLR) topologies to support critical PLC operations.
The successful candidate will assist in the multi-phase engagement involving the discovery, assessment, redesign, replacement, and hardening of our PLC network infrastructure. Key responsibilities include examining existing networks to identify network design requirements, validating hardware compatibility, developing and deploying hardened switch configuration templates, and establishing centralized firmware and configuration management. You will work closely with our controls engineering team to ensure all deployments are performed with minimal downtime, including the creation of lab-based testing environments, detailed rollback plans, and comprehensive documentation to facilitate a repeatable rollout process across multiple sites.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
