Role Overview

We are seeking a Support Engineering Data Specialist to analyze engineering designs and design changes to determine maintenance and repair requirements. This role involves developing fault isolation procedures, creating systems theory descriptions, and conducting analyses to verify the accuracy of maintenance data. The specialist will collaborate with program management and engineering teams to provide technical solutions and support logistics documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze engineering designs and changes to determine maintenance and repair requirements, procedures, and instructions.
  • Develop and apply fault isolation procedures and techniques.
  • Create systems theory descriptions to ensure a common understanding of systems and components.
  • Conduct engineering analyses to verify the accuracy of maintenance and repair data.
  • Develop and support the review of logistics support documentation, such as ILSP, PSAP, MTA, SERD, and LORA.
  • Provide technical solutions to customers and evaluate their maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with program management and engineering teams to accomplish tasks.
  • Participate in or lead in-person and virtual working group meetings.
  • Interact with customers and suppliers.
  • Work within budget and schedule constraints.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years' related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master's degree and 1+ years' related work experience, or HS Diplpma and 7 years' related work experience).
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: Power Plant, Avionics, Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Environmental systems.
  • 1-2 years of experience with aircraft technical manuals, task relationships, and familiarity with Technical Orders (TO) or equivalent is required.
  • Must have the ability to understand and interpret engineering data with prior experience using TOs to maintain military aircraft.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Product Support Analysis (PSA), Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), GEIA-STD-0007, or MIL-HDBK-502A.
  • Proficiency in using LSA software applications such as Slicwave, EAGLE, Powerlog, or Compass.
  • Experience applying military and commercial maintenance manual publications and wiring diagrams for aircraft systems maintenance planning.
  • Experience in commercial or weapon system integration.
  • Experience in commercial or military airworthiness certification.
  • Knowledge of various engineering disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with cost account and project engineering management.
  • Aircraft experience with B-52 Bomber or AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System).
