Title: Consumer Engagement Senior Project Manager
Duration: 12 months
Location: Ideal candidate will be local to San Mateo (Bay Area), but can be remote in US. Will need to attend sup to 4 sync weeks in San Mateo per year. If not local will cover the cost of their travel to the campus.

Role Overview

In this role, you will manage and deliver large-scale, complex projects or programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams across various departments. You are responsible for aligning internal resources, setting realistic expectations, managing budgets (if any), and maintaining clear communication to deliver successful outcomes. Additionally, you mentor junior team members, driving best practices across the project management function.

Key Responsibilities

• Stakeholder Management & Relationship Building:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior internal stakeholders, ensuring strong relationships and alignment with business goals.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the company's strategic objectives and how individual projects align with these goals.
  • Lead regular project status meetings, providing clear, concise updates on project progress and key issues.
  • Ensure consistent and transparent communication with stakeholders, anticipating and addressing concerns proactively.
  • Develop relationships that go beyond project transactions, acting as a strategic advisor and trusted partner.
  • Help identify growth opportunities within the project lifecycle and work closely with internal teams to capitalize on these opportunities.
• Project Planning & Scope Management:
  • Define and document project scope, timelines, deliverables, budgets (if any), and resource requirements in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Ensure all project data, resource allocation, and timelines, are accurate and up to date.
  • Track project efficiency and efficacy, ensuring targets are met and escalating any potential risks before they become issues.
  • Prepare and manage scopes and change requests, ensuring they align with broader business objectives.
  • Achieve personal and team utilization targets.
• Project Leadership & Delivery Methodologies:
  • Use your expertise in various delivery methodologies to define optimal approaches that meet business objectives in terms of time, cost, and quality.
  • Set up and manage all project tools and systems, ensuring smooth communication and alignment across teams.
  • Lead internal and external project kick-off meetings, aligning stakeholders on objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Establish robust project governance, regularly assessing risks and implementing solutions to mitigate them.
  • Ensure clear checkpoints and reviews to guarantee that the work produced meets the company's standards of quality.
  • Continuously improve project management methodologies, tools, and processes, ensuring the company remains agile and efficient.
• Team Building & Leadership:
  • Lead high-performing, cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving a shared sense of purpose.
  • Create an environment of psychological safety that allows team members to take ownership and perform at their best.
  • Identify any issues impacting team productivity or morale, and work to resolve them quickly and effectively.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members, helping them grow and improve in their roles.
  • Partner with resource management to ensure the right skills and resources are available for each project at the right time.
• Process Improvement & Company Contribution:
  • Actively contribute to refining project management processes, sharing insights from completed projects to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate on internal and external case studies and project summaries to highlight successes and learnings.
  • Mentor and manage junior project management team members, fostering growth and ensuring a strong team dynamic.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and knowledge sharing within the company, helping to position it as an industry leader.

Experience & Skills Required

• 5-8 years of project management experience within a client-side or brand-side organization, managing large-scale, cross-functional projects.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects or programs with multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, tracking profitability, and identifying financial risks.
• Expertise in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Wrike, Asana, Trello, MS Project), with the ability to tailor approaches to meet specific project needs.
• Advanced proficiency in productivity and collaboration tools such as G-Suite or Microsoft Teams.
• Deep understanding of digital trends, technologies, and best practices, with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building strong relationships and managing stakeholder expectations at all levels.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest standards.
