Who we are looking for

The Platform Solutions Engineer within the Execution, Financing and Clearing division plays a pivotal role in developing and delivering advanced technology and analytics solutions that enhance transparency, intelligence, and execution for both clients and internal teams. This position sits at the intersection of finance and technology and centers on leveraging technology and data to create impactful products for State Street's financing and execution platform. The ideal candidate will combine deep knowledge of financing and collateral markets with strong leadership abilities and a creative approach to problem-solving. Success in this role requires translating client needs into innovative data-driven solutions, collaborating cross-functionally, and applying quantitative methods to address complex business challenges.

What you will be responsible for


  • Lead the design and implementation of advanced analytics and optimization frameworks for State Street's Financing Hub platform.




  • Collaborate with internal technology teams, external vendors, and partners to ensure successful product deployment.




  • Prototype and iterate on innovative solutions, working with internal stakeholders and clients to deliver tailored products efficiently.




  • Engage directly with clients and prospects, conducting product demonstrations, managing proof of concepts, and serving as a subject matter expert.




  • Maintain high standards of governance and risk management throughout the solution development process.




  • Represent State Street at industry conferences and events, showcasing platform capabilities and thought leadership.




  • Foster a collegial and professional team environment through collaboration and active engagement with colleagues.

Education & Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or higher required




  • At least 5 years of experience in quantitative, analytical or technology roles within financial services sector




  • Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in Python and SQL programming




  • Experience developing insights and dashboards in business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Tableau or Qlik




  • Preferred experience in securities financing (including securities lending/borrowing, repo, and collateral management)




  • Background in working with analytics and execution platforms




  • Proven experience leading and collaborating with Agile teams




  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with business leaders and technical teams at all organizational levels



Additional requirements


  • This is a hybrid role with an expectation of 4 days a week in the office



Salary Range:

$110,000 - $188,750 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
