Operating Engineer- JLL

What this job involves: We're seeking a skilled Operating Engineer who takes pride in their craft and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. In this role, you'll ensure our commercial and industrial facilities run efficiently and safely - tackling challenges head-on, solving problems, and keeping everything in top condition. You'll work as a proactive problem-solver with strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing expertise, taking ownership of your work to maintain peak facility operations.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations, including lock-out/tag-out procedures

Perform regular system and equipment checks ("shift rounds") to identify and correct issues early

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems

Conduct preventative maintenance by inspecting, servicing, and replacing components like belts, hoses, filters, and fluids

Handle diverse repairs from rebuilding pumps and valves to fixing leaks, lights, and dock equipment

Order parts, manage vendors, document work in CMMS, and recommend PM program improvements

Collaborate with team members and customers to ensure work is completed efficiently and meets quality standards

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Minimum one year of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance

Experienced painter with skills in basic drywall repair, trim/millwork repair, and basic flooring repair

Valid state driver's license (possess and maintain)

Ability to lift minimum of 80 lbs and frequently walk up and down stairs

Ability to use ladders up to 40 feet and work from heights

On-call availability required for emergency facility response

Must consistently receive "meets expectations" job performance review (for internal candidates)

Preferred Qualifications:

Trade school or technical training preferred

2+ years of related trade schooling or college

Experience with emergency backup systems (generators, UPS, etc.)

Experience with CMMS systems

Comfortable using maintenance software, Microsoft Word, and email communication tools

Flexibility to work occasional weekends or non-standard hours as needed

Location: 14781 Wolfe Rd. New Freedom Shrewsbury, PA 17349 (Onsite)

Salary: $27 - $30 per hour,

Schedule : Monday - Friday 8:0am to 5:00pm
