Job Overview:
Pay Range: $50hr - $55hr

Responsibilities:

  • Lead performance testing engineering initiatives in a dynamic Agile environment.
  • Communicate effectively with client stakeholders and manage expectations in a multi-vendor setup.
  • Coordinate onshore and offshore teams, manage demand forecasting, and oversee demand pipeline.
  • Drive innovation and modernization of performance engineering using AI and GenAI-assisted tools.
  • Develop comprehensive performance test strategies, processes, and methodologies in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Define standards, guidelines, and continuously improve performance engineering practices.
  • Create detailed workload models for average, peak, stress, and scalability testing scenarios.
  • Implement CI/CD performance gating processes and establish baseline response times.
  • Monitor performance trends and identify degradation proactively.
  • Design, execute, and analyze performance test scripts for web applications, APIs, and databases, including cloud-based systems.
  • Build and maintain custom dashboards using APM tools to analyze system behavior under load.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify performance bottlenecks using profiling tools and log analysis.
  • Prepare and present performance testing reports with key findings, metrics, and recommendations.
  • Apply knowledge of web technologies, protocols, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Ensure alignment of performance testing with security considerations such as SSL/TLS and secure APIs.
  • Lead and mentor global teams to deliver high-quality performance testing outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in performance testing.
  • At least 3 years of experience in performance engineering with focus on analysis and recommendations.
  • Strong hands-on experience with performance testing tools, especially JMeter.
  • Experience with APM tools such as Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch, or equivalent.
  • Experience with database monitoring tools such as SolarWinds DPA or similar.
  • Proficiency in log analysis tools such as ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) or Splunk.
  • Experience in validating Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT), including failover and disaster recovery scenarios.
  • Understanding of RPO/RTO, system stability, and reliability testing including chaos testing.
  • Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts.
  • Strong understanding of web protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP) and performance optimization techniques.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in AWS or other cloud platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Dynatrace, DataDog, or AppDynamics.
  • Experience building and training high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
