Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Service Technician Automation to work in the Toledo, OH area.
Job Summary
Responsible for field service, start-up, customer training, preventative maintenance audits, warranty callbacks, and installations for new and existing KES equipment. This position requires local and domestic travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide routine and special application service support to customers.
- Update electrical prints and programs after field assignments.
- Complete service/start-up and expense reports in the field and obtain customer signatures daily.
- Submit all expenses, service/start-up reports, and parts usage information for billing after field assignments.
- Fill out update sheets and material requisition/return forms when handling stock room parts.
- Test and troubleshoot new equipment in-house.
- Engage in electrical design for retrofit projects, if capable.
- Provide engineering and R&D support, if capable, including AutoCAD drawings, legend tags, and wire tags.
- Contact customers for equipment follow-up, audit program setup, and service-related inquiries.
- Train new service technicians in-house or in the field.
- Prepare technical write-ups for machine function and troubleshooting.
Additional Requirements
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical industrial components and controls.
- Ability to follow electrical hard wiring and troubleshoot ladder relay logic prints.
- Capability to edit and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Control programs using laptop computers and software.
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical robotic applications.
- Proficiency in following mechanical assembly and detail drawings.
- Mechanical experience with power transmission, gear reducers, bearings, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Computer skills in AutoCAD, Windows, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work at heights up to 20 feet and under machinery.
- Capability for heavy lifting.
- Willingness to use various modes of transportation and meet insurance requirements for company vehicles.
- Provision of basic hand tools.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Associates degree in Electronic, Electrical Engineering, or Electro-mechanical Technology preferred.
- Two to three years of packaging maintenance experience.
- PLC and Robotic experience preferred.
