Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a Remote position with a Global Pharmaceutical Company. This is a 17 month contract opportunity. This is a remote position with the expectation of travel to client sites as needed. The Senior Project Manager will co-lead the implementation of an enterprise-wide grants management system in partnership with IT, key business stakeholders, and system integrators. This role requires strong cross-functional project management, vendor oversight, and change management experience within a highly regulated environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare philanthropy sector.
Responsibilities: - Own the integrated business project plan including milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and decision points across CSR, IT, Finance, and vendors
- Operate within the Legal, Compliance, & Corporate Responsibility (LCCR) project management governance standards, including status reporting, RAID tracking, escalations, and participation in steering forums
- Serve as a primary coordination point between business readiness activities and IT delivery timelines
- Validate business requirements definition, ensuring alignment on scope, assumptions and success criteria with all involved stakeholders
- Partner with IT business analysts and system integrators to ensure accurate translation of business requirements into system design, configuration, and integrations
- Maintain requirements traceability across design, build, testing, and go-live to ensure business outcomes are met within specified timelines
- Facilitate business review and sign-off of requirements, solution designs, and key configuration decisions
- Partner with various stakeholders in a matrixed environment to support enterprise alignment on vision, objectives, timelines, and change impacts
- Develop and execute change management strategies including stakeholder mapping, readiness assessments, training coordination, and adoption tracking
- Accountable for change and communications execution, including stakeholder-specific messaging, senior-level talking points, and adoption measurement
- Support development of business, strategy, and operations functions including SOPs, governance models, and KPI frameworks
Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree; Master's preferred
- 10 years of related experience
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting enterprise scale grants management system implementations within complex, highly regulated organizations
- Proven ability to co-lead implementation efforts in partnership with IT and key business leads
- Strong collaboration skills with IT project managers, business analysts, system integrators, and other key business stakeholders, including coordination across U.S. and ex-U.S. teams
- Advanced cross-functional project management capability across Corporate Social Responsibility programming
- Direct vendor-facing experience including ability to collaborate on requirements translation, solution design validation, configuration oversight, issue escalation, and milestone governance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts into business-ready language
- Demonstrated experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare philanthropy programs, both U.S. and ex-U.S
- Experience in financial reporting related to grants and philanthropic funding
- Familiarity with grant impact data, performance metrics, and outcome reporting
- Experience supporting audit readiness, compliance controls, and documentation
- Experience coordinating data governance and data quality
Desired skills: - Systems integration awareness (finance, procurement, compliance, contract management)
- Experience supporting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) integrated implementations, including financial systems (e.g., SAP)
- Data migration and validation oversight
- Process design and standardization across the grant's lifecycle
- Risk, issue, and dependency management
- Post go-live stabilization and transition to steady-state operations
