About the team and the role: eBay, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in San Jose, CA
What you will accomplish: Job Duties: Develop and implement core software applications and features, and help improve code services and system architecture. Drive architecture discussions, produce well-documented design docs, and participate in design and code reviews to determine project requirements in order to effectively implement code in eBay's merchant platform. Work with the product and design teams to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and deliver results. Research, analyze, design, develop, and test the solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies. Build testing infrastructure/test cases/Automation geared towards ensuring the quality of the product/Share release management and technical support duties in a very time-critical environment. Estimate engineering efforts, prioritize projects, plan implementations, and triage production issues. Apply knowledge of server-side load and performance testing tools like JMeter, non-functional testing like web product security, page accessibility, and client-side page speed mobile operating systems. Strictly follow the Definition of Done (DoD) process for better quality by maintaining over 80% unit test coverage and other release criteria standards. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
What you will bring:Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
- Experience designing and building software using Kotlin (3 years).
- Experience designing, developing, and managing Java-based applications and software using Java (3 years).
- Experience developing and implementing data models, schemas, and structures to support efficient data storage and retrieval using NoSql or Sql databases (3 years).
- Experience writing, modifying, and debugging web applications using Node.js or JavaScript (3 years).
- Experience with Unit Testing, writing the test cases and scripts, and preparing the scripts to execute the code (3 years).
- Experience with software Architecture Design to design high-level concepts (3 years).
- Experience designing, coding, and managing automated test scripts, continuous builds, and deployment (3 years).
- Experience with Git (3 years).
- Experience with Jenkins (3 years).
Salary: $169,262.00-222,100.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Additional DetailsBase pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.
