RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Database Administrator -Oracle, Oracle EBS, SQL in Tucson, AZ.

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to support a complex, high-availability production environment. This role offers the opportunity to work across Oracle and SQL Server platforms while contributing to modernization initiatives, including significant cloud migration efforts to Azure.

This is a highly collaborative team environment where no two days are the same-ideal for someone who enjoys solving challenging problems, working across technologies, and growing toward data engineering or analytics-focused work over time.

Key Responsibilities:
* Administer and support Oracle and SQL Server databases in a production environment
* Perform database patching, upgrades, backup/recovery, and performance tuning
* Support Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) from a database perspective, including patching exposure
* Manage and maintain Oracle Database Appliances, including patching and system maintenance
* Execute and maintain WebLogic and database patching processes
* Develop and maintain advanced Unix/shell scripts for automation and operational efficiency
* Troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis across database and application layers
* Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance
* Participate in a shared on-call rotation
* Maintain clear and thorough technical documentation

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience with Oracle database administration in enterprise environments
* Hands-on experience with SQL Server on Windows
* Experience with database patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management
* Proficiency in Unix/Linux and advanced shell scripting
* Proven ability in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
* Experience supporting high-availability, production systems
* Strong collaboration and communication skills in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience supporting Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), particularly database-side support
* Experience with WebLogic administration and patching
* Experience working with Oracle Database Appliances
* Exposure to cloud migration initiatives, particularly Azure
* Background in regulated environments or large-scale enterprise systems

This is a six month contract opportunity with possibility of conversion to FTE in six to twelve months based on performance. Local candidates are preferred but during the contract phase remote working is acceptable, but three days on site is required for FTE. As such, remote candidate must be committed to relocation to Tucson at conversion.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
