Summary

Title: Cloud Solutions Architect

Location: Hybrid in Madison, or Milwaukee, WI, or Minneapolis, MN

Duration: Fulltime/Direct hire

Role

A Cloud Solutions Architect is responsible for hands-on technical pre- and post-sale enablement, working actively with account managers to drive business within AE's Solutions Practice at new and existing enterprise clients. You aim to build strategy and vision while becoming a trusted advisor, partner, and point of accountability with client stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Five or more years in solution architecture or engineering
Expert level Cloud experience- with at least 1 platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and interest in learning/working with the other platforms
Deeply knowledgeable and experienced with at least one CI/CD platform (GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, BitBucket, CircleCI, et. al),
Experience with automation/scripting (Python, PowerShell, Golang, C#, Node.js).
Foundational understanding of one or more of the following: public CSP (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) cloud networking, Kubernetes, FaaS/serverless, CSP databases, CSP storage solutions.
Comfortable with an API, CLI, and GUI.
Knowledge and experience with any of the following traditional infrastructure a plus, but not required: enterprise VI platforms (Nutanix, VMware vSphere), enterprise storage platforms (Pure Storage, NetApp, etc.), enterprise data protection (Rubrik, Commvault, Veeam, Zerto, etc.).
Possess or are on a path to public CSP (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) professional level accreditation. Certification not required, but a plus.
Enjoy rapidly gaining context and knowledge in new technology areas with minimal supervision. You likely have a personal lab within a cloud service provider, basement, or bunker.
Comfortable with travel throughout the state and enjoy occasional national travel to events and conferences with a team.
Equally capable and engaged whether working remotely or on-site at client.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, related field or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

Architect solutions to solve customer business needs.
Provide engineering expertise in the pre and post-sale stages.
Build in-depth knowledge of clients' technical priorities, challenges and initiatives and map those needs to AE's core offerings and competencies.
Responsible for architecting and proposing (i.e. presenting) technology solutions, along with implementation of services, that meets customers' business and technical needs.
Comfortable and successful engaging diverse stakeholders across all organizational levels, demonstrating adaptability in everything from formal presentations to informal collaborative settings.
Assist account managers with solution validation, proposal generation, quoting and developing account strategies.
Assist in the development of services and solution offerings. Educate customer's Technical and Business leaders on proposed solutions.
Build value-added relationships within the domain of new or existing accounts to become the trusted technical advisor.
Identifying new opportunities across lines of business and engaging sales team on the opportunity.
Oversee the installation and implementation of assigned products including coordination of vendor participation.
Responsible to ensure that proposed solutions, when implemented, meet the needs and functional requirements of the customer.
