Summary

Our client is a specialist asset management firm with over $14 Billion AUM, specialized in income-oriented credit investments in niche and inefficient markets. As a rapidly growing firm of 140-150+ employees, they are seeking a full-time Business Analyst to work fully onsite out of their Greenwich, CT office. They are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to lead and oversee the planning, execution and completion of technology projects within the fund, ensuring they align the business goals and objectives. 

This is a time of high-growth at the firm, having hired many over the past couple of years. There is a strong push on their IT initiatives currently. The firm makes high caliber long-term investment hires. They are a heavy automation shop, use technology to their benefit, and are not afraid of using AI to improve.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to align IT initiatives with business objectives and drive projects forward through effective cross-functional partnership
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate existing business systems and operational needs to identify areas for improvement
  • Document detailed business requirements and define project scope and objectives in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Assist with vendor relationships, including support processes, managed services relationships, budgets and prioritization of product enhancements
  • Perform comprehensive requirements analysis and continuously evaluate business processes to identify/drive enhancements
  • Conduct user acceptance testing, including data validation and testing, to validate system changes and ensure they meet stakeholder needs.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to support proposed IT strategies and process improvements
  • Strong resourcefulness, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate issues and recommend practical, scalable solutions
  • Experience performing data testing and validation and mapping business processes and workflows to identify gaps, dependencies and opportunities for improvement
  • Strong technical aptitude, including the ability to leverage Excel, SQL and similar tools for data gathering, testing, analysis and validation        
  • Proficiency with JIRA or comparable project management or ticketing systems
  • Demonstrated interest in leveraging AI, automation and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and streamline business processes
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build productive relationships, navigate differing perspectives and drive initiatives forward through collaboration and influence        
  • Demonstrated initiative and ownership, with the ability to manage competing priorities, proactively advance projects and follow through on deliverables
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology or related field
