Role Overview:

As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you''ll collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to design, develop, and deploy scalable AI and machine learning solutions that help utilities make smarter, more sustainable decisions. You''ll contribute to next-generation AI products by building reusable ML pipelines, integrating large language models (LLMs), designing agentic AI systems, and developing scalable MLOps workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML software products.
• Build reusable Python packages and data processing pipelines.
• Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LLM integrations, and agent-based AI workflows.
• Create evaluation and monitoring frameworks for AI models, including reasoning, consistency, and fairness.
• Optimize database performance and data retrieval processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile development environments.
• Implement ML best practices, testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and MLOps workflows.
• Stay current with advancements in Generative AI, agentic AI, and AI orchestration technologies.

Required Qualifications:

• Master''s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (PhD preferred).
• 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying machine learning software solutions.
• Strong programming experience with Python and reusable software package development.
• Experience with Databricks for large-scale data processing and analytics.
• Solid knowledge of machine learning systems, MLOps, model lifecycle management, and scalable model deployment.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, along with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong experience with distributed computing technologies, SQL/NoSQL databases, and data engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, or AutoGen.
• Experience with agentic AI systems, AI orchestration, or AI-assisted decision-making is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of the utility, power, or energy industry is a plus.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
