Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) Technical Expert with a strong understanding of identity in the AI ecosystem. This resource will support an Associate Director / IAM SME focused on developing non-human identity (NHI) playbooks and integrating security monitoring capabilities across AI workloads.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical expertise in IAM, non-human identities, service accounts, machine identities, privileged access, cloud security, and security monitoring, with the ability to translate complex identity and security concepts into practical frameworks and playbooks.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Associate Director in developing and operationalizing Non-Human Identity (NHI) playbooks for AI and machine-driven workloads.
- Define identity, authentication, authorization, and access-control requirements for AI workloads and services.
- Assess and establish governance models for service accounts, machine identities, APIs, bots, agents, and other non-human identities.
- Support integration of security monitoring and identity telemetry across AI workloads.
- Identify IAM risks associated with AI applications, agents, models, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
- Develop standards and best practices for identity lifecycle management, credential management, access reviews, and privilege management.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, application, infrastructure, and AI engineering teams to implement identity controls.
- Help define monitoring and detection requirements for anomalous identity and access activity across AI environments.
- Contribute to IAM architecture, technical documentation, standards, procedures, and implementation roadmaps.
- Support assessments of existing IAM controls and identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
- Translate technical IAM requirements into clear playbooks, processes, standards, and implementation guidance.
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Strong professional experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) and cybersecurity.
- Hands-on understanding of non-human identity / machine identity management.
- Experience with service accounts, API identities, workload identities, application identities, and privileged identities.
- Understanding of IAM considerations within AI/ML workloads and cloud environments.
- Experience with authentication and authorization technologies such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, RBAC, and ABAC.
- Knowledge of identity lifecycle management, privileged access management (PAM), secrets/credential management, and access governance.
- Experience integrating IAM/security data with SIEM, security monitoring, logging, or detection platforms.
- Ability to develop technical playbooks, standards, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with senior technical leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience securing generative AI, AI agents, LLM applications, or machine-learning workloads.
- Knowledge of AI-specific identity challenges, including agent identities, workload-to-workload authentication, model/API access, and machine credentials.
- Experience with cloud IAM across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and identity-centric security models.
- Experience with IAM platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, CyberArk, SailPoint, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with security monitoring platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, CrowdStrike, or similar tools.
- Experience developing enterprise cybersecurity or IAM governance frameworks.
