MUST Have Skillsets: actuarial background and Mescius
Our client is seeking a React.JS developer with actuarial to join their team. Senior consultants that are 7+ years experience in UI development and UX design for JS React and has familiarity with Json (sourced from Mongo) for actuarial tools. Must have some analytical/actuarial background with insurance knowledge. Strong communication skills in English and residence in the United States is required. Knowledge of Java, SQL Server, Mongo is a benefit, but not required. Experience with Mescius is a bonus.
The consultant will design and develop User Interfaces written in JS React for actuarial tools. The consultant designs, documents, reviews, and maintains components of software solutions for complex projects. Under limited supervision, the consultant works closely with business partners to identify needs and design technology solutions to overcome process bottlenecks and generally increase operational efficiency. They are often required to deliver tactical solutions that can be implemented within a few days. They are responsible for all phases of the application development cycle: beginning with requirements gathering, through release, and ultimately ongoing user support.
Key Responsibilities:
Recognized as expert in UI development and UX design
Recognizes performance issues displaying large amounts of data, proposes solutions, and implements them.
Identifies issues and initiate action to resolve the problem and provides technical assistance to resolve complex issues.
Partners closely with team members for moderate to complex level projects
Creates accurate test plans, conditions, and data; participates in testing reviews to include conducting basic levels of module and integration testing according to process standards; track and resolve moderate defects.
Creates enhanced technical documentation and implement changes
Develops code for intermediate to complex modules with high-level architecture, following documentation and development standards
Ensures that design/code reviews are scheduled and executed; provide feedback and recommends solutions; ensures that design standards and documentation are followed and certifies that code meets quality standards; reviews and critiques code presented by team members.
Expertise in communicating designs clearly using Mural.
Problem solving - Negotiates solutions for issues that may be complex or controversial. Anticipates issues and develops preventive measures.
Uses experience, innovation, and judgement to make decisions that may be based on partial information
Uses subject matter expertise to coach less experienced employees
Develops in-depth ideas and materials; ensures understanding of technical matters by non-technical, executive decision makers
Identifies, clarifies, and resolves complex problems within own work area
Salary/Rate: $80-$95/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
