Work Mix: ~60% Inside Plant | ~40% Outside Fiber Optics

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Center Technician to support both inside and outside plant infrastructure for a high-performance enterprise data center. This role is critical to the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of physical infrastructure systems.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with hardware, cabling, and fiber optics, along with a strong understanding of data center environments and infrastructure operations.

Required Skills

• Data center operations
• Rack & stack deployment
• Fiber optic and structured cabling (Cat6)
• Hardware troubleshooting
• Infrastructure installation and maintenance
• Linux and Windows 10 familiarity

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience in a data center or similar environment
• Experience with both inside and outside plant infrastructure
• Knowledge of:
  • Structured cabling standards
  • Fiber optic technologies
• Ability to interpret:
  • Blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation
• Familiarity with:
  • HVAC systems
  • Backup power systems
  • Fire suppression systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments
• Effective communication with cross-functional teams and vendors

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Cheyenne, WY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
