Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner with strong hands-on expertise in SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM), GMP maintenance planning, and calibration/metrology coordination to support maintenance activities across GMP and non-GMP manufacturing assets.
This role requires someone who can independently review maintenance requests, develop detailed work plans, and create fully defined, execution-ready work orders within SAP. The consultant will be responsible for planning preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities, preparing comprehensive job packages, and coordinating labor, materials, spare parts, equipment access, and contractor resources.
Responsibilities will also include supporting calibration and metrology activities, developing standardized maintenance task lists, and ensuring compliance with GMP requirements, SOPs, change control, LOTO, and safety procedures.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, critical utilities, facilities, and infrastructure systems while collaborating closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Metrology, and Reliability teams.
Additional responsibilities include participating in equipment walkdowns, supporting shutdown and turnaround planning, maintaining accurate SAP maintenance records, and providing maintenance history to support equipment investigations, CAPAs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidates with proven experience in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments who can independently manage maintenance planning activities and ensure work packages are technically accurate and execution-ready are strongly preferred.
